Modern phones already produce strong video. Most inconsistent results come from automatic settings changing mid-take, a dirty lens or digital zoom—not from the camera itself.
Use the main lens and clean it
The 1× rear camera usually has the best sensor. Avoid pinching to zoom; move the phone physically. Clean the lens with a soft cloth every time before recording.
Choose 4K/30 or 1080/30
Use 4K/30 when you want room to crop, and 1080/30 for smaller files and faster publishing. Use 60 fps only for motion or planned slow motion; it needs more light.
Lock focus and exposure
Tap and hold on the face until focus locks, then lower exposure slightly if skin looks too bright. This prevents brightness and focus from pulsing while you gesture.
